Five years ago today, Armond Wilson LLP opened its doors. After years of grueling BigLaw hours, Douglas Wilson and I envisioned taking the first day off to set a new tone for a new firm. Well, our day off certainly didn’t happen, but it did set the tone, lol.   We’ve done so much more than we ever dreamed of that first day, and extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our clients, colleagues, friends, and cheerleaders who have supported us all along.   We’re excited for the next five years! 🥂   #ArmondWilson #HappyBirthday #5Years

Today it’s goodbye to Los Angeles’ most famous criminal defendant: O.J. Simpson.   As a teenager in LA, I remember exactly where I was watching the live broadcast of that White Bronco chase.    And we all watched that televised trial! O.J.’s trial popped back up again during law school: we studied the groundbreaking evidentiary rulings from this case when I ended up at Berkeley law school a handful of years later.   Earlier this week my son and I were talking about this trial, and we just had to re-watch: “If the glove don’t fit, you must acquit.”   https://lnkd.in/gpvKNnfZ   #ArmondWilsonLLP #TheJuice #TrialOfTheLastCentury

I just know you’ve all been anxiously waiting to find out “Where in the world is Douglas Wilson?” with the bears.   I’m still not totally sure. I have it on good authority that this bear-watching photo was taken on the Kulik River in Alaska. But it’s so far off the beaten path that Google Maps couldn’t pinpoint it exactly.   We had a lot of Alaska responses, so the lucky winner selected from those is Nick Patel. Today we bid a fond farewell to Los Angeles’ most famous lawyer. When I was a kid growing up in the 80s in LA, Larry H. Parker was everywhere: billboards, TV commercials, radio spots. I didn’t know anything about lawyers, but I could tell you on good authority that Larry H. Parker will fight for you! R.I.P. Larry. I hope you’re chasing ambulances in heaven. 🚑 "Larry H. Parker got me $2.1 million!"
